DIABETIC GANGRENE,

ESCAPED AMPUTATION

Thank God! I don't have to lose my toe to Modern Medicine

I am a diabetic for more than 15 years. I was ignorant about eating right, and ate whatever that came my way. I left my health in the hands of my family doctor.

One day a wound started on the toe of my right leg. I thought nothing of it. But as days passed by it did not seem to heal. Then I went to my family doctor, who checked my sugar level & found it to be very high. I was put on 40 units of insulin daily.

After several days, the wound got worse. It turned gangrenous. My family doctor told me to get to a hospital. I then consulted a few other doctors from Port Klang to Klang, but they all told me the same thing.

I was then admitted at the Arunamari Medical Centre in Klang. The gangrene was emitting a strong smell of dying cells. It was so bad that the doctors suggested surgery. They told me that after surgery if the surgical wounds would not heal, then I might have to lose the whole right foot. That news came as a shock to me.

My family & friends heard of my predicament & one of them Mr. Gunalan (H/P 012-3116615) went into the Internet & found this Website. He called Dr. Chan who assured him that 95% of this type of cases can be helped & the gangrenous leg or toe can be saved from amputation. Dr. Chan said that he had been saving legs from amputation since 1980s.

An appointment was made & I saw Dr. Chan on the 9th April, 2005. I was given some Homeopathic remedies & lots of Nutritional supplements to promote blood circulation & healing. I was also given Super-detox capsules.

Dr. Chan put me on a strict diet & he told me that if I failed to follow his diet, the wound would not heal. He made a very strong statement, “Now I am your doctor, but the minute you walk out from this clinic, you are your own doctor, because I have no control over what you put into your mouth.”

Within 3 days I started noticing the healing response on the toe. I was also given Vitamin E drops for the wound. Slowly but surely, the wound was healing & it became better day after day. It took me 2 months to see complete recovery.

Today, there is only a mark left on the site of the old wound, but there is no scar.

I am here today to see Dr. Chan for shortness of breath & he asked me whether I can share my story of how my toe was saved from amputation in his website. I readily agreed.
